Rigging Down By The Bay

Typically I don't post photos like this, especially ones taken with my cell-phone camera (think I've only posted ONE other from my phone) however I never end up taking my real camera out at gigs I do.

My Office on Thursday Morning (August 20 2015) at Summerfolk #summerfolk40 which takes place every year in Owen Sound Ontario's Kelso Beach Park. See the stool, that was half my desk space, the other half was on the stage where I head the rest of my paperwork strewn about.

Here you see my friend Mark rigging the chain falls for the truss in the tent for the DOWN BY THE BAY (Beer tent) stage. This is the more rocking stage at the festival, with a lot of blues and folk goodness. I didn't get any "Real" photos, but my friends Cedric & Steph (Cedric and Steph Take Photos photos.ebishi.ca/Events/Summer…) and also "Good Noise Photography" (Tenzin www.facebook.com/GoodNoise) took lots of excellent photos (Im actually in some of them).

And yes I was in that lift for part of the job. Im actually the one who drove it into the tent.

The Party Rental Supplier had two trucks of stuff, and unloaded the first truck directly in the way of the lift inside the tent. Not cool. We also had to hold off on building one of the scaffold towers for the speakers to make way for the lift coming in and out as all of the fencing was already in place around the park.
